  • Team Connect WA Incorporated (ABN: 57762392380) (Team Connect, we, us, and our) respects your privacy and is committed to transparency with regard to how we handle your personal information.
  • We seek to align with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (the Privacy Act). Personal information is information (or an opinion) that identifies you or from which you are reasonably identifiable, whether true or not, and regardless of whether recorded in a material form or not.

  • fill out our registration forms, feedback surveys after participating in our programs and events, and volunteer application forms;

  • contact us by any method, such as telephone, email, post or interact with us in person.
  • Under some circumstances, we may also collect your personal information from trusted sources such as members of your family, guardians or next of kin, or in the case of participants, from teachers and other school staff.
  • There may be occasions when we collect information about you from a third party, such as through your school or cricket organisations. In such instances, we will determine whether we would have been entitled to collect such information from you and to the extent we would not have been entitled to do so, we will destroy or de-identify such information as soon as reasonably practicable.
  • The types of personal information we collect from you may vary depending on the nature of your interaction with us, and may include:
  • name, address, phone, email, date of birth and other contact information;
  • information from enquiries about or engagement with any of the services we offer, donations or other contact you have made with us;
  • financial details to process donations; and
  • details comprised in your CricketID.

We may take photographs of you at our events for promotional purposes. We will seek your consent to use these photographs.

We may also collect some information from you that is not personal information because it does not identify you or anyone else. For example, we may collect anonymous answers to surveys or aggregated information about how users use our Website.

Sensitive information

  • We may also collect certain sensitive information, such as criminal record, details in Working with Children Checks or health information, from our volunteers, staff and other partners.
  • If you provide us with sensitive information, we may store and use that information for the purposes of providing our services and complying with our compliance responsibilities.
  • Schools may provide us with additional sensitive information of participants in our programs and events, such as information about their racial background or sexual orientation. This information is generally only shared with us verbally and not held or stored by us in a written form.

  • the parts of the Website you access during your visit and your actions on our Website.

  • to improve the quality of your visit to our Website; or

Disclosure of your personal information

We may share your personal information to third party contractors who help us conduct our business, and to third party organisations who enable us to carry out our functions and activities, including community cricket clubs, WA Cricket and Kidsport, in order for the participants to take part in the program.

Where information is shared with these third parties, we will take all reasonable steps to ensure that third parties observe the confidential nature of such information and are prohibited from using any or all of this information beyond what is necessary to assist us.

We may store your personal information with reputable third party IT providers that store or otherwise handle the personal information in locations outside of Australia.

We take reasonable steps to ensure that the personal information we hold is accurate, complete and up-to-date.

You may request access to the personal information which we hold about you and request its correction if you believe it to be incorrect by contacting us using the details outlined below.
