organiser
This fun and rewarding role supports the players. It’s all about being the friendly face that brings the food, bandaids, ice, spare hairbands and whatever else it takes to keep the team ticking along. This is a unique role that offers the right volunteer, or volunteer couple, the opportunity to build positive and nurturing relationships with the girls.

What kind of volunteer support does Team Connect need?
We couldn’t do what we do at Team Connect without our army of volunteers. We need volunteers to score, umpire, bring morning tea, help out at training and cheer on the team.
Who can volunteer?
Anyone can volunteer to help – whether or not you are connected to a player – and if you’re interested, we’d love to hear from you. Just click here to get in touch.
I don’t have cricket knowledge or experience. Can I volunteer?
Absolutely!
Team Connect is a community engagement program, not a cricketing program, so our primary need is for committed volunteers who are keen to see young people have fun with their friends.
We provide all the training and support you need to be able to perform your volunteer role and pay for any coaching or accreditations you may require.
How much commitment is involved?
The season runs for 15 weeks over the cricket season, between October and March, with a break over Christmas and New Year.
Time commitment varies depending on your role. Some volunteers help at training and others help at games.
How do I attend training and matches as a volunteer?
Volunteers are required to make their own way to games or to travel on the bus with the team.
What are the benefits of volunteering with Team Connect?
Our volunteers tell us they get a lot more out of volunteering with Team Connect than they ever expected they would.
Teamwork, personal development, socialization and fun: there’s no end to the benefits our volunteers experience.
